Eligibility
Requirements
  • Obtain postsecondary education in SD, remain in the state upon completion of degree & contribute to the state and its citizens by working in a critical need occupation: K-12 music, special education, foreign language, high school math or science or working as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse or allied health care fields
  • High school graduate with a 2.8 GPA or greater
  • Composite ACT score of 24 or greater (or SAT equivalent)
  • Agree in writing to stay in SD and work in a critical need occupation after graduation for as many years as the scholarship was received plus 1.
  • Be a US citizen or national
 
Amount Tuition and fees for a total of 16 credit hours each semester.  Renewable up to four years.
