Eligibility
Requirements
  • Applicant must reside in the NPEF service area (all of SD)
  • High school senior pursuing a health care related field as a full-time student
  • GPA of 3.8 and a minimum ACT of 28
  • A resume (2 page limit)
  • Official transcript including unweighted GPA and class rank
  • Copy of SAT or ACT scores if not on transcript
  • Two completed Teacher Recommendation Forms (www.npef.org/scholarship.asp)
  • Typed personal statement (two page limit) explaining why you are deserving of the scholarship which addresses all of the following:  plans for future study and why you are pursuing a health-care field, extracurricular activities, involvement in health care related activities paid or volunteer, and academic merit including honor society, awards GPA, class rank and national test scores.
