Important Information: o This scholarship is open to South Dakota high school seniors who will be entering their freshman year of college in the fall 2021 semester and pursuing no less than a bachelor’s degree in early, elementary, or secondary education. o Eligible students must have obtained a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 . Cumulative GPA will be verified with the student's high school guidance counselor. o One $500 scholarship will be awarded per year. o Completed application, essays, and letter of recommendation are due 11:59 pm March 15, 2021 . Submit all as email attachments to Sara Hopkins at smhopkins7383@gmail.com . Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. (Questions concerning the scholarship may also be directed to the above person.) o Decision of the judges is final. Scholarship recipient will be notified no later than April 15, 2021. o Two $250 payments will be made to the student’s college during the student’s sophomore year, or the fall 2022 and spring 2023 semesters. o Recipient will be contacted prior to the start of the fall 2022 semester.
