• child or grandchild of a veteranm, or the child or grandchild of a member of the American Legion Auxiliary
• not under 16 nor over 21 years of age
• financially unable to attend a university or technical institutue after graduation from high school
• SD resident

Requirements

• Essay of 500 of less describing "Why I want to attend a College/University" or "Why I want to attend a Technical Institute"
• High School Transcript
• Completed application stating actual financial need
• Three letters of recommendaitons describing your character, Americanism and activities

Amount $500 (2 for university bound students & 2 for technicial bound students)
